Batribike has been busy with several events over the past week. Last Wednesday  the team loaded up a set of demo electric bikes and headed out to be part of a Bike Week event held at The University of Manchester. The event was co-promoted with the Manchester Metropolitan University and was also attended by local bike shops promoting conventional bicycles.

The event was aimed at the many staff employed by the universities. The aim was to promote the idea of using a bicycle as transport for their daily commute. The electric bikes had a lot of interest as usual, with many taking the opportunity to take a test ride.

The test rides proved very popular with the riders coming back with the typical electric bike grin fixed firmly in place. Everyone was impressed with the level of assistance the bikes gave and could really understand the benefits of using an electric bike for commuting.

The event ran all day but as with any working environment the demonstrations were mainly confined to break times and the lunch period. This gave us the chance to enjoy the fabulous architecture.
