Police put electric bikes on charge in Cornwall

The Police at Launceston in Cornwall recently took charge of two Batribike electric bikes. They will be using them for community policing in Launceston itself and on the Camel Trail cycleway.

I called in to Launceston Police Station Thursday morning to deliver the two Granite electric bikes. There was loads of interest in how they worked and everyone wanted to have a go, at one point there was a queue of seven police officers waiting to try.

Everyone could see the benefits of electric motor assistance and how you could arrive at the end of a journey still feeling fresh and ready for action. I look forward to meeting up with them again in a couple of months to see how they are getting on.
