Hay Bike FestivalLOCATION: Hay Castle, Hay-on-Wye
DATE: Friday, April 12, 2013 - Sunday, April 14, 2013
Batribike will be displaying and demonstrating their range of electric bikes at the Hay Bike Festival Expo in April. The Expo will be open from 10.00 ‘til 4.00 daily. The event is being organised by The Hay Tourism Group in conjunction with Batribike dealers Drover Cycles. The three-day event is aimed at all cyclists, from leisure riders to mountain biking and road cycling.
The BikeFest Expo is being held in the grounds of Hay Castle in Oxford Road, where there will also be food stalls and some entertainment. The castle stands in the heart of Hay-on-Wye, sometimes called the Town of Books because of its literary festival and the number of second hand bookshops. Hay-on-Wye is on the very borders of Wales, with easy access to the Radnorshire hills and the Brecon Beacons, or away from the bigger hills to the quiet roads and the rolling countryside of Herefordshire. The Brecon to Hay-on-Wye cycle route follows NCN routes 8 and 42. The ride uses mostly quiet roads though there is a traffic free section near Talgarth. The route shows off the fabulous views of the Black Mountains that lie to the east. Batribike electric bike test rides are available from Hay Castle over the three days of the event. Take a short ride locally or take a longer ride.
